Rio Gems is a December 2022 slot from Booongo built on a 5x3 layout with 25 paylines. The game uses stacked Wilds, samba dancers as the highest-paying symbols, royal card symbols, Deluxe Gems as Bonus symbols, and Drums as Scatter symbols. A demo version is available, allowing players to play for free and practice before playing for real money.
The main feature is the Hold and Win bonus game, which starts with six or more Blue Gems. During three re-spins, Gems stay sticky and are paid at the end of the round. Gold Coins can land with jackpots up to 1,000x the stake, while a Super Gem may raise Gem values and improve the jackpot tier. Collecting all 15 Gems awards the Royal Jackpot of 10,000x.
Three Drums trigger eight free spins. In this round, only the top-paying symbols and special symbols remain active, while the Super Gem can also appear on the fifth reel in the base game. This setup makes Rio Gems slot play for free a useful way to review its bonus rounds, symbol types, and reel mechanics.
