Year of the Dog is a five-reel online slot from Genesis: Gaming&Beyond, released in December 2017 and built around Chinese Zodiac imagery. The game uses a 4x5 layout with 1,024 ways to win, an RTP of 97%, and high volatility. Betting starts from 0.40, while the maximum win multiplier is listed at 524,240x.
Scatters are the key feature and trigger a bonus round when three or more appear. In this round, players choose from several award options, with each path offering different combinations of free spins, wild symbols and multipliers. A separate Free Spins feature is also included, making the bonus structure the main part of the game design.
The visual theme follows the Year of the Dog motif, with dog symbols presented in a Chinese culture setting. For players who want to inspect the mechanics first, a demo version is available to play for free and practice before playing for real money.
