Shogun of Time by Microgaming, now under Games Global, is a 4x3 online slot built around feudal-Japanese imagery with a futuristic time-travel style. The reel set uses 81 ways to win in the base game, with symbols including samurai armour, fans, cherry blossoms, card ranks, and a Wild symbol.
The main feature is Reel Split Re-spin, which can add a fifth reel between the second and third reels after a qualifying win. This increases the ways to win to 243 while the added reel spins on its own and the others stay locked. The game also includes a Free Spins feature triggered by three or more Free Spins symbols.
In the demo version, players can play for free and practice before playing for real money. During Free Spins, the game uses 243 ways, Both Ways pay rules, and a stacked Wild on the middle reel, which changes the way winning combinations are formed.
