Book of Light by Platipus is a 5-reel slot released on 4 August 2022, built around an Egypt-themed adventure setting. The game uses a block mechanic rather than fixed paylines, with payouts awarded for 3 or more matching symbols connected horizontally or vertically. Its stated RTP is 95%, and it is classed as a high-volatility title.
The slot includes WILD and SCATTER symbols, with three scatters triggering 10 free spins. During the bonus round, one symbol is enchanted with the power of Light. If two or more matching enchanted symbols connect horizontally or vertically in free spins, they can expand after the regular payout, creating additional win opportunities. The game is also described as a buy bonus slot.
A demo version is available for players who want to play for free and practice before playing for real money. This allows users to examine the block-based mechanics, symbol behaviour and free spin feature without using a stake, while reviewing how the Book of Light slot handles connected wins across the grid.
