Extra Gems

Extra Gems is a 6-reel slot from Platipus set against an Aztec-themed backdrop inspired by Tenochtitlan. The game uses cascading reels, with wins removed and replaced by new symbols, and a top horizontal reel where Quetzalcoatl appears as the Wild symbol. Scatter symbols can land anywhere and remain visible during cascades.

The main mechanic is the Split Symbol Feature. When a symbol on the vertical reel matches the symbol above it, the gem splits in two. If a Wild appears on the horizontal reel, all eligible symbols below are split apart except Scatters, which can increase the number of possible winning combinations. The game is listed as high volatility, with an RTP of 95% and a betting range from 0.2 to 20.

Players can use the demo version to play for free and practice before playing for real money. Free Spins are triggered by 3 to 6 Scatter symbols and can award up to 27 spins, with unlimited additional free spins possible during the round. A Buy Bonus feature is also available on request, while the win multiplier increases with each cascade and resets under the rules of the base game or the Free Spins round.
