A Day at the Derby

A Day at the Derby by Rival Gaming is a five-reel video slot with 20 paylines and a low-volatility model. The game uses a horse-racing theme, with symbols including jockeys, trophies, betting slips, binoculars, roses and horseshoes. Its reported RTP is around 94.3%.

The demo version lets players play for free and practice before playing for real money. The wild is shown as a horse’s head and appears only on reels 1 to 3, where it can substitute for other symbols and add multipliers when several wilds form part of a win. Regular line wins are paid from left to right across active paylines.

Bonus features include free spins triggered by the blue-helmeted jockey symbol, with awards of 5, 10 or 20 spins and a 3x multiplier during the round. Three or more bonus symbols can also activate a separate bonus round based on the horse-racing theme.
