Aldo's Journey is a video slot by Yggdrasil Gaming released in November 2019. It uses five reels, 65 paylines, and a 16:9 layout, with an RTP of 96.1% and high volatility. The theme follows Aldo through Italy, China, Persia and Mongolia, with each city linked to specific bonus features.
The main symbol mechanic is Journey Wild™, where Aldo appears in the centre of the reels and turns into a wild. The Wild Times! feature can add random wilds and a win multiplier. Landing three Free Spins symbols on a city unlocks that location's bonus round, which may include higher multipliers, symbol removal, sticky wilds, or wild lines.
When three Free Spins symbols land in the central position, Journey Free Spins begins for seven spins. This mode combines the city bonuses while Wild Times! remains active throughout. A demo version is available for players who want to play for free and practice before playing for real money.
