Penguin City is a video slot by Yggdrasil Gaming, released on 24 July 2018. The game uses a 5-reel format with win all ways mechanics and an RTP of 96.2%. Its theme centres on a group of penguins trying to escape the Emperor Penguin, with symbols and features built around that setting.
The main bonus feature is Penguin Escape Mode, which begins when a Wild lands on the 2nd or 4th reel during a winning spin. In this mode, the Wild becomes sticky and respins continue until a spin produces no win. During the feature, penguin symbols can add another Sticky Wild on the 2nd or 4th reel or award a winning symbol on the 3rd reel.
Another feature is the Stacked Emperor Wild, which moves down one row per spin and can extend the sequence of respins. Players can use the demo version to play for free and practice before playing for real money, while reviewing the slot’s low volatility, special symbols and bonus rounds.
