At the Movies is a 5-reel, 25-payline video slot from BetSoft, released in January 2014. The game uses medium volatility and a reported RTP of 94.75%, with wins forming from left to right across the reels. Its cinema theme is built around film-related symbols, including popcorn, a projector, a theatre arch, a film character, a monster mouth, a ray gun, and an Oscar-style statuette.
The demo version allows players to play for free and study the rules before playing for real money. The Wild symbol is shown as theatrical masks on reels II and IV, where it substitutes for all symbols except the projector Scatter. When a Wild appears in a winning line, it doubles that win.
The Scatter is a film projector and triggers free spins: three scatters award 8 spins, four scatters 12 spins, and five scatters 20 spins. During the free-spins feature, all wins are doubled. This makes the game’s main appeal the combination of standard line wins and a bonus round linked to the projector symbol.
