Tizona by Merkur Gaming is a five-reel, 10-line slot based on the legend of El Cid’s sword. In the base game, the sword acts as a Wild symbol and substitutes for all symbols except the shield. At the start of each spin, every sword moves one position to the left, shaping the reel layout and potential combinations.
Three or more shield symbols trigger Free Games, with 10, 15 or 20 rounds awarded depending on the number collected. During the bonus feature, the sword continues to shift left at the beginning of each free spin. Additional Free Games can be awarded if the sword moves across the reels or a new sword appears, extending the feature for longer play sequences.
The game page offers a demo version for players who want to play for free and practice before playing for real money. In the Free Game series, every four collected shields improve the Wild symbol, and after the third upgrade the sword becomes expanding, which can widen the chance of forming winning combinations.
