Gemix by Play'n GO is a 7x7 grid slot released in 2014, built around cluster wins rather than fixed paylines. Symbols must form connected groups of five or more, matching horizontally or vertically, and winning tiles are removed before new ones drop in. This cascading process can continue within the same round while new combinations are created.

The game also includes a Crystal Charge meter that fills with wins and can trigger one of four effects: Chain Lightning, Light Beam, Crystal Warp, or Nova Blast. A Super Charge state may also apply a three-times multiplier to wins in a round if enough symbols are hit before the cascades end. Each world features its own wild symbol type, including dropping wilds, spreading wilds, and sticky wilds that remain in place for a round.

Players can use the demo version to play for free and practice before playing for real money. The world pattern system adds another layer, with progress tracked across three patterns per world and a World Bonus awarded on completion. Gemix combines gem-themed symbols, wild substitutions, cascading wins, and grid-based bonus mechanics in a format focused on pattern clearing.
